Trader of the Month with 100% efficiency in November! [Tickmill competition]

created Paweł MosionekDecember 4, 2019

Tickmill - Trader of the month competition - November 2019

Such things are rarely seen - 131 trades and 100% profitable over the past month. We present to you the best trader of the competition Tickmill in the November edition! A trader named Anatoli has earned more than 10 000 USD and even though the rate of return alone may not make such an impression, the way he did it is certainly so!

Congratulations! We also encourage you to read the interview for Tickmill.

131 profitable transactions from ... 131 concluded

$ 10 - a lot? Little? It depends. It is certain that the results achieved by the previous month traders could have been more spectacular (e.g. 228 thousand USD of profit in August edition). However, hardly anyone manages to maintain efficiency close to 100% for a month, let alone not be mistaken once :). Anatoli succeeded. How?

He started with a capital of approx. USD 16. He focused only on currency pairs (both major and cross) and gold. The trades usually had a low profit, ranging from a few dollars to around $ 000 per position. He rarely set Stop Loss and Take Profit orders. Due to the fact that short transactions dominated (from several minutes to several hours), it can be assumed that he was always on the pulse. However, there were some longer, even weekly positions, which suggests that he kept some of the losses until profit was achieved - risky, but as you can see, it paid off.

The trader himself declares in the interview that the maximum risk on the transaction is 2-5%. The transaction volume was highly diversified - from microlights to even 3.0 lots. However, we cannot speak of a crazy capital commitment - there has always been a stock. Similarly to the previous traders of the month, Anatoli used risk reduction in the middle of the month by withdrawing some funds (hence the "decrease" in capital visible in the chart). This relationship is definitely a common feature of most Tickmill winners.

Interview with a trader

How long have you been involved in trade?

I have 5-6 years of experience in trading.

How did your adventure with Forex trading begin?

A broker contacted me and in this way I got involved in trading on the Forex market.

What is your trading style?

I use scalping combined with medium-term transactions.

Do you have any risk management policies?

Yes, for sure. My risk tolerance is 2-5% per transaction.

What good habits should investors be fooled about?

Patience is one of the most important habits that investors should have.

Describe your best / most-remembered transaction (How much did you earn? What strategy did you use? On which pair?)

As I remember, it was trading on XAUUSD from 1260 USD to 1504 USD, the lot size was 0,05. The long-term trading strategy worked very well.

What advice would you give to novice investors?

Investors should not expect huge profits from one transaction. This is not a casino or poker! It won't work!

Considering the current market situation, what do you think data / investors should pay attention to?

I think the most important news or events will be: the BREXIT agreement, the accusation of Trump and the trade war between China and the US.

What is the most important thing you expect from a Broker?

The service, the seriousness of the transaction, good regulations such as FCA and of course the withdrawal conditions. I found all these positive aspects at Tickmill.

competition rules

The winner of the competition is selected by the Tickmill Jury. The win is not only determined by the rate of return - it is the total that matters. Factors such as earned profit, position management, risk and trading skills are taken into account. There is also one more necessary condition - interviewing the broker and consent to make the account history public. Only then does the prize of $ 1 go to the trader's investment account.

The principles introduced are aimed not only at showing that you can make money on the Forex market, but also consciously educate and encourage sharing experience with other traders.
