MetaQuotes has once again shown that the future belongs to MetaTrader 5. Last week we informed you to stop supporting the older versions of MT4. Now we have information about new products introduced to the latest version marked as MetaTrader 5 build 2085.

New API in MetaTrader 5

This is great news for developer traders. MQ developers have equipped the platform with a new API that offers access to data from the platform using the Pythom language through external applications. The API is equipped with libraries for automation, data analysis and visualization, as well as "machine" learning.

Optimization of additional services

The platform's authors have made key optimizations for such services as support for automated strategies and copying of transactions (department Markets and Signals -> Copy Trading), which is to translate even to 7 increase their speed of operation.

The users of operating systems other than Windows were also taken care of. From now on, the Market, Signals and Search services work properly in the Wine environment and are available for devices running on Linux, Ubuntu and MacOS - better late than never :-).

An educational program in many languages

The user education program built into the MetaTrader 5 platform has been expanded with new language versions - incl. Chinese, German or Spanish.

Verification when setting up DEMO

Another novelty is the ability to verify the data provided by the user, such as e-mail or telephone number, in the registration form when opening demo accounts. Until now, it was enough to enter "any" data that met the requirements regarding the number and type of characters. Now, the broker will decide about the need to enter real data - activation of the verification functions is optional.

PayPal in Community payments

To the payment options in the community MQL5.community PayPal has been added. After logging into your PayPal account, you can make payments for purchases in MetaQuotes Software with one click.

Optimization of the strategy tester

A great optimization of the strategy tester has been carried out, which allows much faster testing of certain types of tasks and greater operational stability. The main improvements include:

• Operations with intervals on local, network and cloud agents have been optimized. Such operations are now processed faster and are never ignored.
• The tester can now redistribute tasks to agents during the optimization process. If the new agent has become available, the tester automatically creates a new task package, using those that were previously distributed among other agents.
• Enhanced optimization logging: contains detailed statistics related to the use of MQL5 Cloud Network.
• The operation of cloud testing agents has been optimized: now computing tasks are distributed more efficiently.
