As of March 1, MetaTrader 4 version 1118 (and below) will not be supported
MetaQuotes, the company behind the iconic MetaTrader 4 trading platform, has announced that it has ceased supporting versions below 1118 for desktop applications and 1104 for Android mobile applications. Additionally, they will no longer be supported by Forex brokers.
Changes from 1 in March 2019
If you are using older MT4 versions with equal or lower markings, you may have a problem with the connection after March 1. This means that you will not be able to log into the platform without updating. We will receive a message about the inability to connect to our broker's server, and thus the possibility of concluding and editing transactions.
It can be assumed that the decision is dictated by both security considerations of the platform's users and the continuation of the campaign "Getting used to" them to newer solutions, and one day, also to force migration towards MetaTrader 5.

MetaTrader 4 version… - How to check?
The current version of the MetaTrader 4 desktop software has the designation 1170 and was released on December 20, 2018. For Android systems, it is version 1136 on October 26, 2018.
To check what version we have installed, go to the top menu in Help -> About the Program. Identically we check it for the mobile version of OS Android. In both cases, the numbers shown next to it are important "Build".
