Forex calculators

Dukascopy it has created useful calculators for the needs of investors Forex which can facilitate trading especially for beginners of the market. The set consists of three calculators:

• Forex Calculator - a forex combine that calculates the pip value in the selected currency, spread cost, commission and swaps.
• Margin Level Calculator - a tool helpful in determining the balance of the position, the degree of leverage and the level at which the Margin Call will occur (margin call).
• Pips Calculator - calculates the balance of positions in the selected currency depending on the currency pair, volume and number of pips earned / lost.

Forex Calculator

Enter values:

• Currency Pair - the currency pair that will be calculated,
• Contract size - the transaction volume expressed in millions. 0.1 means 100 units of the base currency, i.e. the equivalent of 000 classic lot,
• Select Deposit Currency - account's deposit currency,
• Deposit levarage - the amount of leverage on the account (standard is 100),
• Commission per 1 mio - commission value for a turnover of USD 1 million. You can enter unequal values, eg 28.5.

Commission values ​​are located HERE.

• Spread Size - the size of the spread expressed in pips. 1 means 1.0 pips, you can enter an unequal value, eg 1.2. Please remember that the spread on the Dukascopy platform is volatile and depends on the liquidity of the market.
• Rollovers - the choice of swap between standard (regular) and institutional.
• Other broker's rollovers - by selecting this option, you can enter the swap values ​​of another broker for long and short positions.

Results:

• Contract size - position size,
• Margin requirement in deposit currency - margin requirement to open a position in the account currency,
• Pip value in deposit currency - the value of one (1.0) pip in the account's deposit currency,
• Spread in deposit currency - the value (cost) of the spread expressed in the account's deposit currency,
• Commission in deposit currency - commission on transactions in the account's deposit currency,
• Rollovers - swap values ​​for long and short positions expressed in the account's deposit currency and in pips.

Pips Calculator

Enter values:

• Pip Amount - the number of pips. 10 means 10.0 pips, which is 0.0010 for EUR / USD quotes. You can enter an unequal value, e.g. 10.3, and this will also be calculated (separate with a dot),
• Currency Pair - the currency pair that will be calculated,
• Contract Size - the size of the volume. 100 means one hundred thousand units of the base currency, i.e. the equivalent of 000 classic lot,
• Results in - the result expressed in the selected currency.

After click Calculated in the window Results the result of the calculations will be displayed.

Margin Level Calculator

Enter the following data:

• Account Balance - account balance in monetary units,
• Currency - account's deposit currency,
• Leverage - financial leverage (100 by default),
• Select CCY - currency pair,
• Action - transaction page,
• Amount - the transaction volume expressed in millions, i.e. 1.0 means 1 million, and 0.1 is equal to 100 units, i.e. the equivalent of 000 of a classic lot,
• Open price - transaction opening rate,
• Market price - market price, it can be imported automatically by clicking below "Load market prices",
• P&L - profit or loss, is calculated automatically.

Button remove it is used to remove an item from the calculator. Button Add Position it is used to add a new item.

Calculated calculates the values:

• Use of leverage - the level of leverage,
• Margin Call Rate - the exchange rate of the currency pair at which the call to supplement the margin will be made and the inability to conclude further transactions,
• Total P&L - Total profit or loss expressed in the account's deposit currency.
