cTrader Desktop 4.7 with news for traders and developers

Spotware has released another update to its flagship product - cTrader Desktop 4.7. The latest version brings a number of interesting solutions that will certainly appeal to its users. We present a list of the most important changes below.

What's new in cTrader Dekstop 4.7

In the latest version of the platform, the developers have tried to prepare additional features that may appeal to both manual traders and those who trade based on machines. Among the novelties are: Market Replay, full internet access for algorithms, ChartShot mode and a lot of additional features in cTrader Automate.

Being a great educational tool, Market Replay allows users to safely test their trading ideas based on historical data at different playback speeds. Algo developers have longed for specialized API methods for full internet access and ChartShots performed by algorithms, and these features are now on board!

Market Replay

Thanks to the Market Replay feature, users can test their trading ideas against historical data. Traders can increase and decrease the data playback speed to suit their work pace. Market Replay can be used as "accelerated strategy tester" on a live market or an educational and training tool.

Full internet access for algorithms

New elements have been added to the API for algorithms to allow them to go online without features `AccessRights.FullAccess`. Algorithms can communicate with external services via JSON or HTML without compromising users' computers.

Automatic ChartShots

Thanks to the function takeChartshot() algorithms can take a screenshot (so-called ChartShot) of the current chart. They can be saved and used for additional logging of cBot activities. Functionality added at the request of traders.

Access to the Help Center in Automate

Tutorials, videos and articles from help Center are now available in the right column next to the code editor window. Find all the information you need while staying on the platform: you don't need anything else "google".

Using built-in sounds

From now on, algo developers can use 5 built-in sounds in Automate API to add sound notifications in their cBots and custom indicators.
